Course Description

Learn to create hyperlinks that connect one slide to another, to a Web page, or to another file. Investigate how to insert movies and sounds into your presentations and create action buttons to play these sounds and movies. Use the ruler and guides to position elements, such as graphics and buttons, precisely on a slide. Additional topics include inserting comments to proof the presentation, learning how to run presentations on computers that don't have PowerPoint installed, and creating custom shows.

In this class, you will learn how to: 

  • Quickly substitute fonts throughout the entire presentation. 

  • Use layout tools like the Rulers, Gridlines, and Guidelines to help you place objects more precisely. 

  • Use PowerPoint Screen Clipping tool to take snapshots of open windows. 

  • Create hyperlinks to a wide variety of sources, including other locations in the same presentation, external files, and even websites. 

  • Use Action Settings and Action Buttons for more complex interactions. 

  • Save time by reusing slides from other presentations or by creating custom shows that include a subset of the current presentation slides. 

  • Review presentations using comments and compare different versions of the same presentation. 

  • Quickly create a picture-based Photo Album presentation. 

  • Add video and audio to your project. 

  • Check documents for sensitive information or features that are not supported in other PowerPoint versions before you share it with others. 

  • Add narration to presentations. 

  • Create dynamic slide shows using custom animations. 

Prerequisites

Intermediate Applications of PowerPoint or equivalent experience.
