Requirements

This certification includes a series of progressive courses: Introduction to SQL Stored Procedures, Intermediate SQL Stored Procedures, and Introduction to SQL Security. Completing this three-course sequence will result in issuing this certification and the accompanying badge, which may be displayed in your email signature and on LinkedIn.

Individuals with significant experience using SQL are encouraged to reach out to info@cetc.umsl.edu regarding enrolling in this advanced certificate. For those new to SQL or looking to refresh their skills, we strongly recommend completing the SQL Fundamentals (LINK) certificate prior to enrolling in SQL Stored Procedures or SQL Security coursework. At minimum, students should have taken Introduction to SQL and Intermediate Applications of SQL or feel confident they have mastered the skills taught.

Schedule

Courses are held monthly and may be taken online synchronously or in person at our training center in Des Peres, St. Louis County, Missouri. Employers and job centers may also request training held at an offsite location. Please contact info@cetc.umsl.edu for further information.

Pathways

This certification satisfies 19.5 hours of the required courses for the following UMSL Chancellor’s Certificates: Database Technology Certificate. Each course is worth 0.65 CEUs.
