4 Courses Required

This certifice is designed to equip you with comprehensive skills in using R, one of the most popular statistical analysis and data science languages. Beginning with the essentials of R syntax and progressing through data manipulation, visualization, and advanced statistical techniques, this program will help you develop proficiency in R. You'll learn how to handle complex datasets, perform statistical analyses, and create visualizations to communicate your findings. By the end of this program, you'll be able to use R to conduct robust data analysis for real-world applications.

Who Should Take This Certification?

As R is a popular programming language, skills using R are highly relevant to both the world of work and in academic research. Statisticians, biostatisticians, data scientists, data analysts, bioinformaticians, and many programmers use R as their primary language. Learning R  will help you become more competent in data analysis, visualization, and building reports for strategic conversations and decision-making. Employees and job seekers looking to improve their data manipulation, calculations, and visual display skills should also consider this certificate for professional development.

This course series is highly recommended for graduate students who will do significant data analysis during their studies, especially doctoral students and those studying fields such as psychology.

Workplace Skills

  • Statistical Analysis and Modeling: Develop the ability to apply various statistical methods for complex data analysis. This skill is crucial for roles that require validating hypotheses and interpreting data trends to inform business decisions.
  • Data Manipulation: Master data manipulation techniques in R to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis. Efficient data manipulation ensures data quality and reliability in reports and analyses.
  • Data Visualization Charts: Learn to transform complex datasets into accessible visuals and charts using R's powerful visualization libraries. These skills are essential for producing clear and actionable insights from data, which are critical for strategic planning and operational efficiency.
  • Programming with R: Enhance your programming capabilities to write more efficient, reusable, and robust code for data analysis. Proficiency in programming is fundamental for automating repetitive tasks and developing new analysis methods.

Requirements

This certificate includes four courses that must be taken in sequence: Introduction to R, Intermediate Applications of R, Advanced Applications of R Level 1, and Advanced Applications of R Level 2. Completing this four-course sequence will result in earning this certificate and the accompanying badge, which may be displayed in your email signature and on LinkedIn.
